Edens Zero Chapter 194 Review/Recap
This is getting out of hand. Since the fight between the Crew of Edens and the Dark Stars began, we’ve been getting visions of the Shining Stars and Dark Stars. First we had Witch and Wizard. Then Valkyrie and Brigandine, and Clown and Sister? Now, we have Killer and Hermit to go along with all of this. What is going on, Mashima?
Recap
Having snuck aboard the Edens Zero to kill Hermit and Sister, Killer and Clown prepare to kill Labilia. Fortunately for her, she’s saved by the arrival of Moscoy. He stalls the two Dark Stars long enough for Hermit and Sister to show up, requip into their battle dresses, and prepare to take out the trash. In the space around Lendard, the fighting has reached a fever pitch, with the remaining members of Oracion Seis Interstelar arriving to provide reinforcements.
Back in the virtual dimension, Shiki tries searching for his friends, but can only contact Pino and Happy. Right as he prepares to head to their location, he gets another influx of memories. This time, it’s of Killer and Hermit as students, talking about the concept of Overdrive together. Aboard the ship, Killer activates his Overdrive as he prepares to kill Hermit. However, he’s shocked to learn that Hermit can use Overdrive, as well!
Review
I give up, Mashima. I have no clue what is going on with all these memories anymore. Are they real memories of the Shining Stars and Dark Stars before they became who they are now? Are they from an alternate reality? I have no clue whatsoever.
There’s not that much that I want to say about this chapter, really. Aside from the epic space battle, the other main draw was Hermit’s Overdrive form. She went from a little kid to a full-grown woman! The fan artists are going to have a field day with that.
