New Year, New Plans

Happy New Year, everyone! It’s me, Jay, from RJ-Writing Ink ringing in the new year. I know I’ve been quiet for the past few days, but I wanted to take … Continue Reading New Year, New Plans

The Year of Endings

At the end of last year, I dubbed 2019 as the “Year of Endings”. With the year now almost over, I’m looking back at some of the things we said goodbye to this year.

Cinema Did Great in 2019

So many blockbusters and hit films came out in 2019 that I almost lost track. As this year draws to a close, I look at my picks for my ten favorite movies of 2019. Also, I noticed a lot of them came from Disney and that’s a little scary.

…What?

http://www.cbr.com/star-wars-reveals-ren-means-lightsaber/ That’s what “REN” means? You, Disney, too lame, explain now!

A Cavalcade of Cinema

As the decade draws to a close, I list off all the movies that I loved over the past ten years. There A LOT of them!

The Force is With Us This December

My Plans for December 2019 Thanksgiving Day’s behind us and we survived Black Friday; and I hope the Force was with you if you went shopping. Now the holiday season’s … Continue Reading The Force is With Us This December

Darth Sidious, his Dark Empire, and his new apprentice

The Time Darth Sidious Did Come Back

Some people may wonder how Darth Sidious can come back from the dead. Here’s the story of how he did come back in the Expanded Universe

Spider-Man May be Out of MCU for Good

My Reaction to the News about Sony-Disney Spider-Man Partnership Breaking down True believers, if you haven’t been on Twitter in the last few days, then you made a smart decision. … Continue Reading Spider-Man May be Out of MCU for Good

Far From Home, But In Good Hands

Well, true believers, we’ve reached the end of an era for the MCU. The Infinity Saga that it’s been building up to since the beginning is over, and so are the Stan Lee cameos. The only question now is how Marvel will be able to top something as massive Avengers: Endgame? I’m worried about the MCU’s future, but after seeing Spider-Man: Far From Home, I realized that even as the old cast exits, the movies are in good hands.

Spider-Man: Far From Home Drops a Bombshell

Now that I’ve reviewed the movie, I wanted to talk about that bombshell ending to Spider-Man: Far From Home. We have to! I can’ take it otherwise!

Marvel 30-Day Challenge, Day 30

After 30 days, it all comes down to this. The final challenge for the Marvel 30-Day Challenge. It’s been a lot of fun, but I’m ready to end this once and for all. My last challenge: name my favorite Marvel Event.

Marvel 30-Day Challenge, Day 29

My Favorite Comic Book Series After 29 days, we’ve finally arrived at this moment. I haven’t read as much of Marvel Comics as I want to; I chalk the rest … Continue Reading Marvel 30-Day Challenge, Day 29

Marvel 30-Day Challenge, Day 28

I got confused by the criteria for today’s challenge, as I’m not sure what it means by “favorite comic time period.” In my view, that either means the run for a specific author or comic book series, or an era of comics in general. I’m going with the latter in this case for Marvel Comics, as there’s only one time period I consider my favorite.

Marvel 30-Day Challenge, Day 27

One of the biggest questions humanity has asked whether or not we’re alone in the universe. If you lived in the Marvel Universe, you would know that we weren’t, because there are hundreds of sentient species that share the cosmos with humanity. This is my favorite non-human race.

Marvel 30-Day Challenge, Day 26

When you have a character roster that counts gods, aliens, sorcerers, and meta-humans in its cast, being able to wield the forces of nature seems ordinary. Marvel has its fair share of heroes, villains, and entities capable of control the elements, some better than others. There’s one being, though, that stands out above the rest as my favorite elementalist of them all.

Marvel 30-Day Challenge, Day 25

Marvel’s made a lot of video games over the years, and in my experience, they’re a hit or miss. Some of them have been huge successes, while others have ended up bombing hard. Of all the games that use Marvel Comics, there’s one about a certain web-head that I call my favorite video game.
