From Beyond the Grave, Twice Will Have His Revenge

My Hero Academia S7 Ep 15-Wrath of the Villains

My Hero Academia S7 Ep 15 Review

Back during the Paranormal Liberation War, we watched as Hawks made the decision to kill League of Villains member Twice. He didn’t like having to do it, nor did the fans like seeing the genuinely good-natured villain die, but logically, it was the only option. Had he lived, Twice’s Sad Man’s Parade could’ve wiped the heroes out. And this episode is the moment that pretty much proves that Hawks might have been justified in believing that. But he still messed up on one, key thing: he didn’t make sure Toga was captured.

Now Toga is mad and is going to kill everyone.

Spinner Finished the Job

The first half of the episode opens up with the fight at the hospital coming to a close. Thanks to Tenta-cole and Anima’s words, plus seeing the hospital staff willingly staying behind, the mob of Mutants lost all heart. The sight of Spinner running in all alone is pretty sad, if you ask me, but still necessary. It shows how alone Spinner has been.

Too bad that he still manages to succeed in his mission. He manages to get to Kurogiri, wake him up, and use his Warp abilities to cause further chaos on the frontlines.

But that’s not even the bad news. Even Dabi managing to make it to where Endeavor is located isn’t the bad news. The bad news is when Hawks sees clones of Twice come through, courtesy of Toga.

Toga Made Sure to Save Twice’s Blood

Back at the front where Uravity and Froppy are stationed, Toga is being driven into a corner. With most of the villains being taken down, she’s running out of places to hide. But she still has a trump card up her sleeve: a vial of blood she got from Twice before he died. And with most of her inhibitions now gone thanks to Uraraka and Deku rejecting her, she’s not afraid to use it.

And then, Kurogiri’s powers come into effect. And just like that, Toga proceeds to use Twice’s blood to send an army of his clones to every battlefield. It’s the Sad Man’s Death Parade!

This is the Most Desperate Hour

My jaw actually dropped when I saw this happen in the manga. Short of All for One and Shigaraki uniting, this was the worst-case scenario the heroes could fate. And like the title of the episode suggests, this is the result of Hawks own actions. Had he not killed Twice and simply captured him, then Toga wouldn’t have snapped like this. And if Uraraka had realized her last encounter with Toga was a cry for help, then maybe she could’ve been talked down before this happened. Actions have consequences, and the heroes are paying the price.

If things didn’t seem desperate already, than this is the moment where they get desperate. The heroes are already hanging on by a thread dealing with the villains. Having to deal with Toga’s hatred manifested into Twice’s clones, I honestly that some of the heroes might not make it out alive. It’s going to be painful to watch what happens next. If there was ever a time for them to go beyond, PLUS ULTRA, then now is the time!
