HA! SOMMERS IS WETTING HIMSELF!
One Piece Chapter 1193 Review/Recap
You know what? The God’s Knights ain’t s**t! We had to spend a good part of the arc watching them run roughshod over everyone in Elbaph. But the second that Loki, Luffy, Sanji, and Zoro locked the heck in, they folded like a house of cards. Sommers and Qillingham are only still in this fight because Imu gave them a power boost, and as Zoro makes crystal clear, even that won’t be enough. Zoro comes within a literal inch of ending Sommers, and it is AWESOME!

Recap
Thanks to their dual attack, Loki and Luffy sent Imu into the Adam Tree so hard that there is a massive crater in it! But then, Luffy starts to run out of gas as Gear Five reaches its limit. While he finds a way to stop that, it’s up to Loki to keep up the fight.

Elsewhere, Brook’s group is watching the fight when they notice that Shuri is waking up, not sure who they will end up greeting. And at the Owl Library, Biblo shows Robin, Chopper and Saul a secret box that contains a tool and letter that’s been passed down for generations. And they need to open it now.
Back in the West Village, the Giants are wondering if following Harald’s path led them to this predicament, but Dorry and Brogy say it’s not important. They are locked in fighting that water demoness and trying to save the kids (they free a few), holding the line until Sanji can handle things.

Meanwhile, Sommers thinks he’s got Zoro trapped in his invisible thorns. He’s monologuing about how Zoro will tear himself apart trying to get free and acting like he’s already won. But Zoro isn’t listening: he’s thinking about how to use Conqueror’s Haki to pierce that steel heart of Sommers. Eventually, though, he decides to quit thinking and just goes for it. And he almost succeeds! He tears the thorns apart like they’re nothing, and stabs the monster right in the chest, only missing his heart by an inch! Zoro then says that he’s still working on it, and Sommers is left in tears, terrified for his life.

Review
OH THAT WAS BEAUTIFUL! DID YOU SEE THE LOOK ON SOMMERS’ FACE? That is the look of a man who is so terrified, he’s ready to soil his pants! If Zoro had been just an inch to the right, he would have gotten his heart and ended him! Absolute peak, Oda! Absolute peak!

In all seriousness, though, I think that it’s only a matter of time before Zoro gets the hang of using Conqueror’s Haki with his swords. He’s already one of the strongest swordsmen in the world, but I think that he might be getting closer to Mihawk’s level by now. If he can master this, then I think it’s safe to say that Sommers is dead. And after seeing how monstrous he is, I would have no problem if Oda decides to kill him off. This chapter pretty much cemented for me that the God’s Knights either aren’t as strong as they think, or the Straw Hats are just that powerful.
Speaking of which, it looks like Shuri is starting to come to. The question is, will it actually be Shuri, or will the personality of Gunko that Imu has forced on her be in control. I really hope that it’s actually Shuri, for Brook’s sake. He had to deal with the trauma of seeing his adoptive niece become a demon for both his lives, and I think they are overdue for a happy ending. And Shuri has 50 years’ worth of pain to collect on!

As for what’s in the box, I don’t know. It’s likely something left behind from the Void Century that Biblo’s family has looked after. Knowing Oda, it could be another key to the big mystery of the series, while the tool could help the good guys win. Because Elbaph can’t fall!
I’m a little disappointed that we won’t get to see more of the fight against Imu for a few chapters, but Oda needs to get Sommers and Killingham off the board. If they fall, Elbaph will be safe and Imu will have to retreat. On the other hand, that look on Sommers’ face is priceless! He made a deal with the devil, and he still didn’t give him enough power! I can wait as long as I have to!
