Remember the Clone Wars

After months of waiting, the final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars is about to premiere on Disney+. So before I review it, I want to reflect on my experience watching the series during its run.

The Owl House Episode 5 "Covention"

I Love Coventions!

The Owl House Episode 4 "The Intruder" Title

An Intruder Gave Me Noh-Face Flashbacks

The Owl House S1, Ep 3 Key Moments

Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts

Kipo is Like Fallout Meets Adventure Time!

I was browsing for new shows to watch on Netflix earlier this week, and I found “Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts”. Based on a webcomic of the same name, it’s a delightful mixture of Fallout and Adventure Time, and the titular Kipo fits right alongside female leads like Star Butterfly, Anne, and Luz. She’s awesome, and you should watch this show!

The Owl House S1, Ep 2-The Boiling Isles

Being the Chosen One’s Overrated

I’ve seen a lot of great stories that revolve around a special Chosen One meant to fulfill an important destiny. I think, from a cultural perspective, they’re meant to make everyone feel special and capable of being a chosen one. However, the last few years of TV seem to be going in the opposite direction, acting like prophecies and chosen one’s are bunk. Now The Owl House is following that route in its second episode. An episode which, I may end, seemed like a step down from the premiere.

The Owl House-Yardirf

The Owl House is the New Gravity Falls

So, after months of waiting and building of hype, is The Owl House everything that I wanted? Yes and no, but mostly yes. I know I said this about Amphibia, but The Owl House is also the next Gravity Falls.
