inally! After weeks and weeks of waiting, MHA is about to get to the good stuff! With the fifth season of the anime only having six episodes left, it’s got to get a move on if it wants to lay the groundwork for the next season. The season that will, more than likely, focus on the biggest and darkest arc to date. And it starts with Present Mic and Eraserhead encountering a face from their past.

ninjutsu was amazing! So, when Hiro Mashima gave us the cyborg ninja, Jinn, I was understandably excited. However, the only thing better than one ninja is two ninja’s fighting each other! And as it turns out, Callum of the Ocean’s 6 is trained in the ways of ninjutsu! It’s time for a ninja fight!
Four of the Tobi Roppo, or Flying Six, Kaido’s Elite Guard, are down. They got felled by the Alliance, while X Drake defected to their cause. Now, the only one of them left is Black Maria, the spider woman, and she’s facing off against Robin and Brook.
You know how a lot of religions and spiritual schools say that we shouldn’t hold a grudge and learn to forgive and move on? It’s simple in practice, but in reality, it’s a lot harder to implement. There are going to be times when we meet people who commit actions that we consider unforgivable, such as Natsu’s resentment for his father, Endeavor, for how abusive he was in the past. We know that Endeavor’s trying to change for the better, yet Natsu refuses to give him a second chance. So what happens then? What happens to someone who remains unforgiven despite everything they try to do to make things right? That’s what this episode of My Hero Academia tackles.

uperheroes aren’t the most stable, even in the best of times. Yet when you look at how messed up the Todoroki family has it, it makes half of what Spider-Man goes through look like child’s play. His Wife’s in a mental ward, Shoto still has a grudge against him, and his other son can’t stand him. The Todoroki family is broken, but Endeavor’s trying to fix it. The question is, can he?
Rebecca’s playing a sadistic card game with her dignity and legs on the line, but can she hope to come out on top against Lyra?
As the hero work studies restarts, Uraraka and Tsuyu return to work under Ryukyu. Then, an event happens that ties to the upcoming MHA film.
So One Piece just got back from the now expected two week break between chapters. And now they’re about to go on another two week break, since next week’s the start of the Olympics. However, Oda knows what to give us to keep us psyched up until then. In this case, we see Franky’s General Franky Mecha fight a, I kid you not, Triceracopter.
Okay, I know that Hiro Mashima seems determined to make Edens Zero darker and edgier than his previous works. But now it seems like he’s just determined to put the heroes through the ringer as many times as possible. First, Rebecca jumped to the future to learn she’s in a coma and lost her legs. Then, she wakes up to find that Lyra of the Ocean’s 6 has her dressed like a bunny girl and forced to play a card game in front of a live audience. And now, we find out just how bad things will get for her if she loses. And they are bad!
Okay, I know I said that I was fine with waiting for the season to save the villain arc until the end, but now it’s becoming a problem. Like, a big problem. It’s throwing things at us without any context, and unless you’ve read the manga, then you’re going to be left confused. At least we’re getting closer to the moment we’ve been waiting for, though.
I’m not sure if I’ve ever told you guys this, but I think that Weisz’s superhero alter ego, Arsenal, reminds me a lot of Iron Man. Think about it: Weisz and Tony Stark are both mechanical geniuses and playboys; albeit Tony has more luck with women than Weisz does. They both continually upgrade their armor to help them fight evil. And, in the most recent example, they fight enemies using giant mech suits. Weisz kicks it into Overdrive in his fight against Nasseh, and he would make Iron Man proud!
Kaido may not know it yet, but he’s already screwed. Thousands of his men have turned on him, Luffy and Momonosuke remain alive despite his best efforts, and many of his best officers have gone down. As for the ones who haven’t, several of them look set to fall very soon. Case in point, Jinbei faces off against Who’s Who of the Flying Six in a battle of the martial arts.
It may be because I’m revisiting the story thanks to the anime, but I’m only now realizing just how dark and messed up Edens Zero can be. Every arc in the story has had at least one moment that could be considered completely messed up. And if I’m being honest, I’m still haunted by Drakken Joe killing Shiki, as well as Muller’s torturing of Jinn and Sylph. However, I think I may have just found another seriously dark moment in the series thus far, and it has to do with Rebecca.
Since the end of last week’s episode, I’ve heard more than a few fans complain about the way that the season of My Hero Academia is playing out. In the manga, the Joint Training Arc was followed by an arc focused solely on the villains of the series. However, the show’s taken a different route. It’s focusing on the Endeavor Agency Arc first, then moving to the villains arc while hinting at the liberation going on in the background. I can understand why they’re doing this, at least. They want to save the best for last for this season. That way, when we get to Season Six, they can focus entirely on the biggest arc to date.
