Growing up, A Charlie Brown Christmas had always been a staple of Christmastime, as it was with many kids in America. This special, alongside It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, is what introduced me to the Peanuts. I actually went through a phase in my childhood where I read, watched, and played anything related to the Peanuts. But I think I like their Christmas Specials the most out of all of them. There are, in fact, more than one, like Charlie Brown’s Christmas Tales.

I actually missed most of this year’s broadcast of A Charlie Brown Christmas, but I was able to watch the follow up, Charlie Brown’s Christmas Tales. It’s not as classic as the first Peanuts Christmas Special, being released in 2002, but it’s still a fun little special to watch. 

There is no overarching plot to the special: it’s just the kids and animals preparing for Christmas. But I think this actually works to its advantage. It hearkens back to the comic strip from which Peanuts was born. It’s Peanuts at its simplest, but also it’s most entertaining.

Peanuts Are the Best

I will always like Peanuts, and I hope that they manage to stick around for a long, long time. This is a brief blog, but that is because I don’t think I can say anything that hasn’t already been said about the Peanuts. I like Charlie Brown, and no matter how many times I may see his specials, I will always want to watch them once more when the holidays come around. They are timeless classics and staples of the American Holiday Season.

I hope that Charlie Brown and his friends stay popular well into the future, as they help to tie generations of people together through a common interest. And if The Peanuts Movie proved anything, its that the gang still has some stories left to spare. Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown!

This is one of the stranger Christmas Specials that I’ve seen. I actually found it by complete accident one day. Supermansion is this show that is done in the style of Robot Chicken: with action figures for the characters. It’s got a lot of good talent on it, with Bryan Cranston playing the lead, and Matthew Seinrich and Seth Green from Robot Chicken working on it as well, so I thought I’d give it a shot. Plus, Jim Parsons is in it, and I like him from The Big Bang Theory. So here is Supermansion: War on Christmas. Lets see some Santa!

Evil Santa is Born

After Cooch the talking cat learns from Titanium Rex that Santa Claus isn’t real, she stumbles into his hall of confiscated villain weapons and meets a magic alien doll thing, voiced by Jim Parsons. I wish I could show you the video of his song and dance, but Sony won’t let me.

Bottom line, Mr. Skibumpers grants a person a wish in exchange for his freedom, and Cooch wishes for Santa to be real. It’s awesome at first, but Santa is quickly freaked out by all the job entails and goes crazy!

Honestly, I think this special is supposed to be a commentary about how scary it would if Santa were real. I don’t really know. The good news is the heroes resolve everything and turn Santa sane again using his magic bag to give him peace of mind. He moves to the North Pole and promises to come back every Christmas like the legends say.

This is not your normal holiday special, but it pretty much admits that at the end, courtesy of Mr. Skibumpers… who says that if he gets out of being wood (he got tricked by Titanium Rex), he’s gonna kill everyone. It’s still a laugh riot, though. I thought this was one of the most original holiday specials I had seen in a while, hence why I came back to it. If you haven’t seen it, you can buy it on YouTube or watch it if you have Sony Crackle. Just make sure no one under 17 (16 at the least) watches it. Happy Holidays!

Eden’s Zero Chapter 23 Review/Recap

Now that I’ve finished recapping what’s happened so far, I can finally move forward with the rest of Eden’s Zero, Guilst Arc. This is Chapter 23: Million Bullets

Picking up right where the last chapter left off, Illega has been knocked completely unconscious by Shiki. Rebecca is overjoyed to see him and Pino again so soon, but Shiki doesn’t seem to pay attention to her. His focus is entirely on Illega and how he kidnapped his friend and hurt Happy.

Shiki just keeps beating that fat frog even though he’s already out cold. After seeing all the people he’s hurt, I was dying to see this happen. But it was still disturbing to see Shiki in a blood rage. I think Shiki may actually have a dark side to him, if this is any indication of it. If Pino didn’t use her EMP to shut off his ether gear, who knows how far he would have gone.

Regardless, Shiki and Rebecca are reunited. And then Shiki ruins it by just staring at her. I knew this was going to happen, but I just stopped caring.

 As luck would have it, the other B-Cubers were set free by Pino’s EMP, and they found some clothes to replace the ones that bubble stuff destroyed.

Something tells me that when they all get home, Rebecca’s subscriber count is going to go up a couple tens of thousands. Now they need to get off of Guilst

Rematch Awaits

At that moment, though, Jinn shows up again to finish what he and Shiki started. I knew that this was going to happen sooner or later, though, so I’m not surprised. I’m looking forward to their rematch. Meanwhile, the B-Cubers are going to find a ship to escape in.

Back at the Church, Homura has just finished wrecking Sister’s army, but then Weisz turns his gun on her because he still doesn’t trust her entirely. She says she wants to fight Shiki, but I have a feeling that she’s hiding something, just like Weisz. Then Weisz, just to prove that he can take Homura, shows off his Machina Maker, by showing the guns he installed in the floor.

Back on the Eden’s Zero, Happy finally wakes up to hear that Rebecca’s gonna be all right, but then all these alarms go off: 

So now, a giant time monster is headed to Guilst to eat the planet’s time. If that happens, everyone will be either a.) be stuck there forever or b.) cease to exist because they become unborn. I was hoping to see Shiki free all the girls that Illega had kidnapped over the years, but that might no longer be an option. The clock’s ticking for everyone to escape Guilst. I hope Illega gets stuck behind…

Welcome back, dear readers, to my Edens Zero catch-up series. In this second and final part, I’ll be going over the main characters, their skills, and my thoughts on them. If you haven’t read the manga, spoilers ahead.

Shiki Granbell

This is our main hero, Shiki Granbell. Where he came from or who is birth family is currently unknown, though it might be revealed later in the series. What is known is that he was found by Ziggy, the Demon King who brought him back with him to his home on Granbell and raised him as his grandson. Shiki would live among the robots of the abandoned theme park and taught how to fight by Ziggy. Ziggy would impart many lessons to Shiki, but the biggest was the importance of friends, and that if you were made friends who would cry for you, to never let them go.

First Meeting

Ziggy would eventually go permanently offline, leaving the robots of Granbell Park to raise him. Shiki would spend his childhood maintaining the robots, not knowing that they were self-repairing. Then one fateful day, he met a young girl named Rebecca and her best friend Happy as they were looking for video ideas for their B-Cube channel. Seeing the chance for Shiki to leave for the universe at large before they went permanently offline, the robots pretended to turn on him and his new friends, forcing them to leave. Now free to explore the universe, Shiki has two goals in life: to make 100 new friends in the universe and to meet Mother, who he feels a strange connection to.

In keeping with his tradition of naming the main male protagonists after seasons, Hiro Mashima gave his new hero the name Shiki, meaning “four seasons” in Japanese. Shiki shares some characteristics with the main heroes of Mashima’s previous works. His appearance is similar to Haru Glory and Natsu Dragneel from Rave and Fairy Tail, and he shares the name of his hero from his work Monster Hunter Orage. 

Personality

Personality-wise, though, Shiki seems to be unique. Unlike Haru or Natsu, Shiki is very socially awkward due to growing up around Robots. He doesn’t quite know how to talk to people and didn’t even know if Rebecca was a girl at first due to having never seen one. As a result, he has a childlike curiosity, getting excited by anyone or anything new and exciting, and often asking people he just met to be friends. 

Though Shiki is a generally good person, he does have a dark side to him. If anyone would hurt someone he considers a friend, he will become extremely wrathful towards them. When he acts like this, there is little that anyone can do. He also despises people who mistreat robots due to his beliefs that they are living beings. When he gets like this, there is little that anyone can do to stop him. 

Powers

Like Mashima’s previous protagonists, Shiki has inherited unique abilities. From his adoptive grandfather Ziggy, he learned how to use Gravity Ether Gear, which lets him manipulate gravity itself. He can use this to strengthen his attacks, change the gravitational direction people are headed towards, run up walls, float, and generally kick butt. He is a formidable opponent in battle, living up to his grandfather’s legacy as the new Demon King. I like him.

Rebecca

This is our main heroine, Rebecca. I don’t know where Mashima got her name. 

At the moment, little is known about Rebecca’s past, other than the fact that she was seemingly abandoned by her parents. As a child, she came across an abandoned alien cat known as an Exxid, whom she befriended. Since he did not have a name, Rebecca dubbed him “Happy”, and they became the closest of friends.

As she got older, she and Happy registered as adventurers with the guild Shooting Starlight, starting their own B-Cube channel, the Aoneko Channel (“Blue Cat” in Japanese) with the goal of becoming famous B-Cubers. That process has been slow, with few people having seen their videos. Their lives change, though, the moment they meet Shiki. 

After help Shiki leave Granbell, Rebecca decides to travel with him in order to meet Mother and achieve her dream of having one million subscribers.

Influences

I have seen how some people draw a lot of comparisons between Rebecca and the main heroine of Mashima’s previous series, Lucy from Fairy Tail. Physically, they do appear similar, to the point that some complain of her being a rip-off of Lucy. It should be noted, however, that Mashima likes to reuse the designs of characters from his previous series. And personally, I don’t see the problem with that if they are still separate people.

After getting to know her more, though, I feel like her appearance and personality are a mixture of Mashima’s previous heroines, Lucy from Fairy Tail and Elie from Rave Master. Like the other two, Rebecca has large eyes and fair skin. Her measurements are also probably the same or similar to Lucy and Elie.

Whereas Lucy Heartfilia played the straight man to the antics of the Fairy Tail guild, Rebecca is more of an airhead like Elie, along with being a little impulsive. She likes to think of herself as a famous B-Cuber despite having few subscribers at the start of the manga; she even wears a disguise in public despite not needing to, something Happy often points out.

Ms. Fan Service Status

Like Lucy and Elie, Rebecca has also taken up the role of being her series’ “Ms. Fan Service” Observe:

See what I mean? Fanservice is one of Mashima’s trademarks (along with teasing fans about couples..). Rebecca is aware that a lot of guys find her attractive, and attempts to use that to her advantage. She is more than willing to use her sex appeal to attract viewers to her channel and wears clothing that shows off her legs and chest when possible. She’s even willing to use footage of her struggling in restraints to attract viewers, hinting at a possible perverted side.

She still draws the line, though. She can’t stand perverted people and will get very angry at anyone who tries to ogle her. 

Powers

In battle, Rebecca shares a lot of her personality with Elie. Using her twin ether-blasters to fight, Rebecca turns into a trigger happy maniac and has a very crass personality, shouting at her enemies to “die”. She’s also a very good shot, and can hold her own in a fight.

Recently, Rebecca has discovered that she may have the latent ability to manipulate ether gear, able to fire energy blasts from her hands. Time will tell what her abilities are, though. 

Personality

The one defining character trait that she shares with Lucy and Elie is her kind and selfless nature. She has demonstrated time and again the willingness to stand up for those who are being harmed even if she barely knows them, to the point where she shed tears for Shiki when the Granbell robots seemingly betrayed them.

Speaking of Shiki, while initially off put by him, she was quick to befriend Shiki. This extends to many other people she meets; and like Shiki, she shares the belief that robot’s are living beings as well. When Happy was turned into a cyborg to save his life following an accident, Rebecca accepted him no matter what his appearance was.

Happy

Taken directly from Fairy Tail, it’s Happy the cat! This version of Happy is from the planet Exceed, the name of Happy’s species in Fairy Tail and Edens Zero. Mashima likes reusing old characters, doesn’t he.

In this version, Happy was left abandoned until he was found by Rebecca, as previously mentioned. One day, however, he was tragically killed after being hit by a drunk driver, leaving Rebecca grief-stricken. Fortunately, thanks to the aid of a friend of their’s, Happy was rebuilt into a cyborg body and continues to serve as Rebecca’s best friend and co-star on the Aoneko Channel.

This version of Happy is a little different from his Fairy Tail counterpart. Whereas the original Happy was mischievous and liked to tease other people, this version serves as the straight man to Rebecca, keeping her level and grounded whenever she starts to act air-headed. 

Powers

Also, Happy can’t seem to fly in this manga. He can do something cooler, though. When Rebecca needs to go into battle, he can go all Targetmaster from the Transformers franchise and turn into a pair of dual Ether Blasters, dubbed the Happy Blasters!

 Weisz Steiner

Like I said in Part 1, there are two versions of Weisz Steiner: the original one, and the one created when Norma’s timeline got eaten by the Chronophage. Here’s the original one, who takes his looks from another Fairy Tail character as well.

Weisz seems like he’s going to be the Han Solo of Edens Zero, serving as the rogue of the main characters. He had just betrayed his former gang right before Shiki, Rebecca, and Happy first met him in the past, after all. Both versions of Weisz also like to consider themselves ladies men, though the Professor version seems to have better luck with women. The younger version shoots with a bunch of pretty girls but has yet to make the mark, to comedic effect.

Personality

Young Weisz also does not seem to hesitate to try and take advantage of a situation, asking Shiki for the results of every sports event for the next fifty years, asking for Rebecca’s ship in exchange for helping them escape Norma, and ditching them as soon as they get back to Blue Garden.

Despite this, Weisz still has a moral compass. He showed disgust at his former partner Sibir’s treatment of robots, and was willing to kill him as a result. When Rebecca was captured by Rogue Out, he immediately rejoined the group to help rescue her.

One thing both Weisz’s share is their ability: the ether gear Machina Maker. With it, they can completely remodel machines from the inside out, making stronger and more powerful. We haven’t even seen the full extent of it, either.

E.M. Pino

This is E.M. Pino, or Pino for short. She’s an android introduced in the Norma Arc. 

According to what is eventually revealed, Pino was originally built by Ziggy the Demon King, but somehow ended up on Norma. She was trapped there when its time was eaten, leaving her fifty years in the past. She then ended up in the hands of Sibir, who forced to serve him. When she refused, he cruelly tore off one of her legs and then wiped her memory to make him her new master. He then proceeded to use her powers to make his gang into the strongest force on Norma, until an infuriated Shiki, Rebecca, Happy, and Weisz beat him. 

After that, Pino accompanied them as they escaped to the present, where she learned that she was built by the Demon King. She then declared Shiki to be her new master upon him be dubbed the new Demon King, traveling in order to learn more about her origins on the Edens Zero.

Pino is unique amongst the machines introduced so far, as she has the ability to create an EMP field that can temporarily shut down all machines. Outside of battle, she is very laid back and friendly, especially towards Weisz and Shiki for having save her.

Elsie Crimson

No arguments, here. Elsie Crimson is the twin of Fairy Tail’s Erza Scarlet. See?

Her personality is not at serious as Erza’s is, though. She seems to be more of a troll who likes to mess with people, jokingly telling the group she planned to sell them at Guilst. She seems to at least be on their side, though, as she gave Shiki the Edens Zero, and helped them escape. Whether she returns as a friend or foe is anyone’s guess.

Homura Kogetsu

This is a new addition to the cast, and likely going to join the main group, Homura Kogetsu. All that is know about her right now is that she was trained by an unknown master who told her about the Demon King and the Edens Zero. As a result, she want’s to fight him. But since Ziggy is dead, she now wishes to fight Shiki instead, and joins the group to rescue Rebecca on Guilst in exchange for a match with him.

Like Shiki and Weisz, Homura also has a kind of ether gear: Soul Blade. This let’s her create weapons out of pure energy that she uses to devastating effect, able to take on dozens of enemies at once. I can’t wait to learn more about her backstory. She could be a valuable part of the Edens Zero crew.

And Lastly, we have…

Labilia Christy

Physically, she looks like what Wendy Marvell from Fairy Tail if she were grown up. Unlike Wendy, Labilia is… well, she’s a jerk.

Personality

She’s in the Shooting Starlight guild and is a super-famous B-Cuber, but she’s extremely stuck up about it. She even ridiculous amounts of money from her fans just to pose with her, get her autograph, or even shake her hand! She also loves to belittle Rebecca for being a small fry, even saying she watches her videos just to make fun of them. Mean.

Ironically, despite looking down on Rebecca, she is obsessed with Shiki. After Shiki lifted her into the air with his ether gear for humiliating Rebecca, Labilia became determined to get him in her next video. But Shiki hates her for being mean to his friends, so not gonna happen. 

She’s not, all, bad, though (I write hesitantly). When all the B-Cubers were being kidnapped, she was genuinely grateful to Shiki for protecting her. And she was horrified when she learned all the other B-Cubers were kidnapped. Hopefully, she will change for the better. Until then, I hate her.

There are plenty of Christmas specials out the wazoo, but there are more holidays in December than just Christmas. Coincidentally, as a kid the only specials I remember watching that had anything to do with Chanukah or Kwanzaa were made by the same show, Rugrats on Nickelodeon.

Rugrats was a personal favorite show of mine growing up, and with the revival of the series announced earlier this year, I’d thought now would be a good time to look back at their holiday specials. I’m not actually Jewish, so I don’t celebrate Hanukkah. But ever since I learned about the story behind the holiday, I’ve had a mild fascination with the holiday. Plus, I think driedels look like a lot of fun! So, here’s my look back at the Rugrats Chanukkah.

The babies, being babies, don’t really understand the meaning behind Chanukah. They take one look at the Menorah, how Tommy get’s presents every night, and their conclusion: it’s HIS BIRTHDAY! To be fair, that does have some logic to it from a kid’s point of view. 

The whole special is about the kids learning the meaning of Chanukah, though they are, at first distracted. So is Grandpa Boris: his childhood rival, Shlomo is playing the role of King Antioch, and when the Rugrats hear Boris complain about him, they decide they need to beat the “meany of Hanukkah”

As for Angelica… I don’t really care about Angelica. I never really liked her, because she’s mean and bossy all the time. She also personifies the kid at Christmas: she doesn’t give two cents about Hanukkah, she just wants to watch a dumb Christmas special. Then she enlists the Babies in order to do that at the Synagogue.

Eventually, all the plots come together as Boris and Shlomo resolve their rivalry and the babies (and Angelica) learn about the meaning of Hanukkah.

I honestly liked this special as a kid. It was different from the other Holiday Specials that I had been seeing, it was about something new, and I appreciated it for it. For the life of me, I cannot think of any other Hanukkah Special that was on for me as a kid to watch. As an adult, I can appreciate even more, because, and this sounds really corny, the holidays are universal. No matter what religion you are, this should be the time of year when we together and celebrate and have fun. So, to all my readers, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Holidays.

Now I know what you’re thinking: this is not a Christmas Special, it’s DragonBall Z. Normally, that would be correct, but this is DragonBall Z Abridged, a popular, fan-based parody done by a group of fans in Texas. Known as Team Four Star, they do a hilarious re-dub of the original DBZ, keeping the story intact. The characters and even some of the events, though, are greatly changed. Goku’s even dumber, Krillin has his own “own’d counter”, and Vegeta’s ego is bigger than ever. Oh, and Nappa comes back as a ghost.

DBZ Abridged Is Awesome

Fans love DBZ Abridged, and even the cast of the official dub like the show. They even managed to sneak themselves onto the Abridged series in guest roles. The cast has even been invited to provide voices for official DBZ games, plus this.

But then they couldn’t air it, because of legal reasons. And some companies don’t understand the concept of “fan-based” parody.

So, they retooled the movie The Tree of Might into a Christmas Special. Here, you can watch it for yourself, and then come back afterwards. One more thing: they have these captions called “English “Canada”” which are way funnier than normal captions. Turn them on:

I really liked how they made Shenron incredibly frustrated with the Z-Warriors. Not only with the fact that they’re the only ones who usually summon him, and the ridiculous wish. And that song: “Yamcha The Scar-Faced Bandit” is so hilarious. A running gag is that they always make fun of Yamcha for how weak he is. He doesn’t deserve it, though. At any rate, here’s part two:

A Team Four Star Christmas

That wasn’t a traditional Christmas Special, but I like it because I think it shows just how creative people can be with abridged series. All it takes is the use of old clips and new voice acting and Team Four Star was able to make this fun re-imagining of a DBZ film. 

The jokes were pretty spot-on, too. Remember Icarus, that little dragon that is sometimes Gohan’s pet? Team Four Star hates him apparently, as they keep killing him in the films he’s in. Same with Maron. 

This was made early in the series’ run, and in hindsight, it shows how imaginative TeamFourStar is able to get with such a beloved anime. Now, they have connections to FUNimation, Screwattack, and RoosterTeeth, among others things. They even got Kyle Herbert to play Santa. How awesome is that?

Yeah, this wasn’t a regular Christmas special, but I liked it nonetheless. TeamFourStar, I hope you guys keep making amazing stories! Merry Christmas, everyone!

Before we start, I would just like to say that I do not, repeat, DO NOT consider Nickelodeon’s idea of “Spongebob Merrypants” to be a Christmas Special. Including Santa Claus in an episode does not make it a Christmas Special by default.

Now, today as a tribute to Stephen Hillenburg, the man who created their most popular cartoon, Nickelodeon ran an 8-hour marathon of SpongeBob. Some of the best episodes from the first three seasons of SpongeBob (AKA what fans call “The Golden Age”) running from noon to 8. Since I hadn’t watched a holiday special yet today, I decided to cap off the night with a SpongeBob Christmas special. 

I was tempted to do the first special, “Christmas Who?”, but I wanted to save that for another day. So instead, I did the more recent one, “It’s a SpongeBob Christmas!”

I had always loved SpongeBob, but once I reached a certain age, I moved on to new shows. Plus I had to worry about school more. I kept up with the show, but it didn’t entertain me as much as before. Then I saw the stop-motion SpongeBob Christmas Special and fell in love all over again!

Just Like The Old Days

This special has all the trappings of the legendary stop-motion Christmas Specials of the 1960s and 70s. Several songs about Christmas? Check. A problem that threatened to ruin Christmas? Check. An appearance by Santa Claus himself as Christmas is saved? Check! And as an added bonus, Patchy the Pirate even plays a mailman delivering mail to Santa. Well, more like he steals a mailman’s truck to get his letter to Santa

The whole special revolves around Plankton’s attempts to ensure that he finally gets on Santa’s nice list. Rather than be nice, though, he decides to turn everyone else in Bikini Bottom into jerks using a convenient new element called Jerktonium. It turns everyone who ingests it into jerks, so he laces fruitcake with it, and tricks SpongeBob into feeding it to everyone in Bikini Bottom.

Pretty soon everyone in town is mean and grumpy. Except for SpongeBob, whose love of the holidays makes him immune. It also means he’s the only one who can save Christmas. One Christmas Song later…

It works, though Santa nearly writes off the whole town as naughty. Thankfully, Plankton’s Plan B (release a robot SpongeBob to ruin his good name) backfires when tries to kill Santa.

SpongeBob ends up saving Santa and everyone gets back on their rightful place on Santa’s list, but I’m confused at how Plankton thought this would work. It was two days before Christmas. How could everyone being jerks in two days put them on the naughty list so easily, or get Plankton off it? 

Thank You, Spongebob Christmas

Well, it doesn’t really matter. I liked this special. It was original, it captures the spirit of the original SpongeBob Christmas Special, and it hearkens back to some of the specials that my parents grew up on. It was an excellent way to cap off a day dedicated to the memory of the man who helped make my childhood. RIP Stephen Hillenburg! And to all of my readers, happy holidays!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS, everyone! It’s time to kick off my 25 days of Christmas. I watch a new Christmas Special every day and talk about it with you guys. And it just so happens that a new one came on this morning. So, here’s my first special, Last Christmas from Disney’s Ducktales!

A Dr. Scrooge Christmas

Next to Ducktales, Scrooge McDuck is probably most famous for playing his namesake in Mickey’s A Christmas Carol. When this special starts, he also seems to hate Christmas as much as Ebeneezer Scrooge did. He scoffs at everything Christmas related, and even goes “Bah, humbug!” It looks like he’s set for another Christmas Ghost visit. And he gets it… though not in the way you’d think!

Turns out the Ghosts of Christmas met him years ago after mistaking him for Ebeneezer, and every year they go back in time to party for Christmas. Scrooge’s just faking hating Christmas… except for Santa, he hates him.

Things Get Crazy

Long story short, Scrooge goes off to party, only for the Ghost of Christmas Past to get upset at the idea of Scrooge leaving them to spend Christmas with his family. Fight ensues, and Past (played by Jack McBrayer) gets stranded in the past.

The second half… okay, I didn’t pay attention as much as I should have. But Dewey ends up back in the past where he meets his Uncle Donald as a kid. He also manages to meet his mom as a kid. Considering how hard he tried to find out what happened to their mom last season, this was a very emotional moment for him. It doesn’t take long for Donald and Della to figure out he’s a relative from the future (Duck Family after all) and then Scrooge comes to get him, along with Past.

Oh, yeah! Past got stuck in the past and got turned into a monster because he was so lonely missing Scrooge. So to make up to him, Scrooge invites the Ghosts to a Christmas Party with his family.

I Love This!

I loved this special overall. The “Christmas Carol” premise has been repeated a lot in the annals of Pop Culture, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen it subverted and then tossed like this! There were also plenty of references to Mickey’s A Christmas Carol, and even a reference to Scrooge’s first appearance! But the best part is that we get a look at Della in the present day. The Season One finale revealed that she’s still alive and stuck on the Moon (how is she breathing, though?), and from the looks of things, she’s working on making a new spaceship to get her home. I really hope we get to see that play out to the end. Ducktales is one of the best cartoons Disney has right now, and I can’t wait to see what they do next.

Overall, this was a memorable Christmas special and the perfect way to start my countdown. Happy Holidays Everyone! I love Ducktales Christmas!
